Littafin hausa novel complete Part 1

"Hello.. Hello.. Can't you hear me? Come out, the girl has just been dropped off from a luxury car."

"What!?"

"Oh, so-it's-true-that-when-it-rains-frogs, it's very-inconvenient. I told you it would happen."

He jumped off the bed, grabbed a long robe, put it on, and hurried out of the room.

That's Jamal, a handsome young man who loves style and showing off, but for almost a year now, he has been deeply in love with a young girl named Zuhra who came to stay with her sister. However, he-can't-muster-the courage-to-talk-to-her. Jamal loves Zuhra as much as his own life, but it's frustrating that he can't speak to her. Dear reader, to cut the story short, Zuhra herself is aware that Jamal has fallen deeply in love with her. Over a year is a long time, and if something is happening, it would be hard not to notice if it affects you. As described, Zuhra is originally from Gombe, and her sister Aisha's marriage brought her to Kano, in the Kundila neighborhood.

The Story Begins...

When Zuhra got admission to Bayero University, she had no place to stay except with her sister Aisha.

From the day Jamal first saw Zuhra, they had come out early in the morning, and Aisha was about to drop her off at school. Since then, Jamal began gathering information about her by calling a friend named Babangida, who knew all the girls in the area. Babangida, better known as Bangis, knew every girl in Kundila, whether born there or newly arrived. He also knew the widows and single girls because of his extensive interactions with them.

When Jamal first saw Zuhra, he knew for sure that Bangis would know about her presence in the neighborhood. So, he called him and described the house where he saw the new girl. Immediately, Bangis told him her name and that she was here to study at Bayero University. From that day on, Jamal frequently visited Zuhra's house as if performing a ritual, constantly trying to see her. He would come early in the morning to watch her leave and, upon returning from wherever he had been, he would stop at her house again. In short, he practically lived in their neighborhood. Over time, Zuhra made friends in Kundila, and almost everyone in the area knew how much Jamal was in love with her, though he couldn't gather the courage to approach her.

His friends teased him endlessly until they grew tired of it, only occasionally bringing it up in conversation.

On Zuhra's side, a girl named Nuratu, a friend of Jamal's younger sister Hafsat, first told Zuhra that her friend's brother was in love with her. At the time, Zuhra just laughed it off. She didn't hear more about it until Bangis, who Jamal first asked about her, mentioned it. Despite Jamal never approaching her, Zuhra was aware of his constant visits to their house. It amused her that he couldn't talk to her. She thought he was a normal guy, not unattractive, and if they had met elsewhere, she might have given him a chance.

Jamal's frequent visits to her street just to see her sometimes resulted in her seeing him instead. At times, when he was chatting with friends and she passed by, she would smile and walk away. Other times, if she noticed him looking at her, he would lower his head or look away. This shyness endeared Jamal to her even more.

In short, even Zuhra herself would feel uneasy if she didn't see Jamal for a few days.

Time passed, and their distant love continued. Whenever they saw each other, they exchanged loving smiles. Realizing he might stand a chance with her, Jamal decided to approach her. On the day he planned to do so, he received a call that Zuhra had been dropped off by a dashing young man in a luxury car, which prompted him to rush out of his house. By the time he arrived at her place, he was told that she had already gone inside and the man had left.

Jamal spent the whole night anxious, but eventually, he gathered the courage to call her. When she answered, he introduced himself by name. Zuhra smiled, and Jamal could hear the sweetness in her voice over the phone, even closing his eyes in delight.

"So today you decided to show up?"

He was taken aback by her sweet voice asking this question.

As he stood waiting for her, she came out, and they greeted each other again. From that day on, their love story began, and the rest is history.
